Hidden Pond Restoration project

The Children of Sherwood Forest & Downs on the Severn in collaboration with the Severn River Association, Severn Riverkeeper, Center for Ecosystem Recovery, and Underwood & Associates took part in an International Bog Day Celebration at Hidden Pond, at our Brewer Creek Marina, Friday, July 21, 2023. Many native species were planted by the team, including the endangered Atlantic white cedars. The restoration project was lead by Sherwood's Billy Moulden, resident naturalist, long time environmental activest and expert on all things Severn.

Hopefully, our youngsters will be the future stewards of our environment. This was an introduction to that responsibility, and ....a great opportunity to get completely muddy without getting scolded.
